Hope everybody got a great start in this New Year.
New Year Part 1:
Not a big celebration in China. On some places you can see some fireworks. I couldn’t make it late this day because on January 1 had work. We had with our football club a fair. On this fair a lot children are coming. Big spaces were companies could hire a tent and give out flyers. Also there was space for doing football exercises. Through this fair new kids are joining our football club.
In January Chinese schools have exams to make. In every district were we are working the exam dates were different. Also are differences between the international and Chinese schools. When everybody finished with their exams we organized for the kids winter classes. Every morning from Monday until Friday we had training sessions.
New Year Part 2
Chinese New Year is the real celebration for 2014. Everybody is free. Moment for the Chinese people to go home their your hometown. Most of the people have two weeks of. Also our football club closed for ten days. Time to see more of China. I decided together with a friend to spend my holiday for ten days in Shanghai. With the train for twelve ours from Shenzhen I reached Shanghai. Made the holiday a little bit confortable to spend the time in a five star hotel. After months of work it was good to cool down in Shanghai. Shanghai is big. Together with my friend went to famous tourist attractions as The Bund, Nanjing Road and Yuyuan Garden. Also visit many shopping malls and went to a circus. Is normally for kids. But I had a lot of fun.
Back in Shenzhen work is started. Last week the schools started again. Full-time coaching. It’s great to stand everyday on the pitch and teach football. This also how it will go the next few weeks.
