Hello There
After my birthday in October I went with my colleagues to Hong Kong to get my official working permit. The last year the visa was ok. But now there changed some rules so we needed an other type of visa. Staid for a few days in Hong Kong. Went a night out en worked in our hotel for the football club. Besides giving training we are busy with other things for the football club.
In November we started with some other teams in Shenzhen on small event to play matches against other teams. Whit the teams that exist in Shenzhen we come together to play against each other. For me as a guy from Holland is sometimes difficult to understand that there is no competition, but also a great opportunity to create this for the children. It’s nice to see the development. Football get more interested by the children.
Winter:
Same as last year was the winter starting in the last week from November. Sometimes need to wear a jacket, but not always. Not as cold than in Holland.
Tournament 4v4: December:
Before some kids went for Christmas holiday we organized a tournament. We play only 4v4 matches. Last year also we organized this and it was a big success. Kids from different districts were we work came together.
Christmas:
Not really celebrated here. Christmas Eve went to church, on Christmas day had lunch with our club and for Diner went to a special Christmas diner.
New Year part I:
Foreign New Year. Don’t know what will happen. Will tell you next time. January first have work. Will not make it to late.
New Year part II:
Chinese New Year. The football club is closed on those days. Last week January and first week February. I’m planning to make trip. About this you will hear next time.
One Year China:
I realized myself that is now longer than a year that I am in Shenzhen.
Its nice after Ecuador 2x, Uganda, Brazil, Guatemala, USA 4x and India is China the place were I spend the most time besides Holland.
